Film Reviews

Companion dir. Drew Hancock (2025)

“That's not going to work on me anymore, Josh. I'm free. And all it took was a bullet to the head.”

Overall Rating: ⛧⛧⛧⛧

I loved every bit of this movie. The empowered (robot) woman, the revenge, the freedom from. This movie truly had everything I love in a movie, and the fact that it's a horror is just a plus.

I think that with the rise in Artifical Intelligence, mass-surveillance, and the push by billionaires to fully embrace creating AI-humanoids to do meanial tasks and to give people companionship is genuienly terrifying.

The fact that this film pretty much covers all of that in such a short amount of time AND covers the topic well, phenominal.

It's pretty ironic to be saying this in a review, but, if this is the review you read, you should watch it now, with as little knowledge of the film as possible.
